"Opposite Extremity"
Pencil
Bethany Wells - 12/99
This drawing is an illustration of my personality. The objects included do not seem to go together, hence the name "Opposite Extremity," but in my life they do. I enjoy sewing, usually consided a feminine activity, but I also enjoy hiking and the outdoors. The book leaning up against my hiking boots is Emma by Jane Austen, one of my favorite authors. The sweater is the bridge that closes the gap between the feminine and rugged extremes of my personality. I enjoy knitting, but a sweater also serves to keep its wearer warm when outside. The cables are common on the sweaters of fishermen.
