Portfolio: Costumes: The Nerd

The costume is made of canvas, 16 guage clear vinyl, gardening gloves, Goop, and painted with metallic spraypaint.

The mask, seen below, is made of sculptured foam rubber, 16 guage clear vinyl, ping-pong balls, white glue, Goop, and hot glue. It is painted with metallic spraypaint and nail polish.

Fun facts: There are over 450 scales (all hand cut) on the costume and the creature is "starry eyed," having a metallic star on each eyeball. It took 15 hours to build the foam rubber mask and and over 50 hours to complete the entire costume.
